I am going to miss watching this group of intense, creative kids dig into their projects and with quickness on to the next step! Small modeling clay sculptures, food grade silicone molds, gummy candies, impressions in salt dough, textures/patterns/shapes and stories impressed upon clay to create a mold (negative space) for the plaster sculpture (positive casting)! School lunches of scorpions, chicken legs and bow-tie barette pasta – collages of locks and keys and pretty please some more sprinkles – food plates of spider and skeleton snacks. Painting and surface treatments add a new dimension to the sculptures and individual technique. Plaster and chocolate cupcakes to decorate and eat? We have one session left to play with positive and negative space, challenge ourselves and have fun!
