In this 3 day camp, kids will have a hand at various sculpting and mold-making techniques to create their visions into pewter and aluminum castings.  This class introduces various methods to engage, explore and excite –  experience the process and possibilities of the cast metal world.  Transformation of materials into creatures, jewelry, sculptures, insects, charms, mini cities and more!  From safety gear to surface treatment, campers will learn how to create their own metal casting.

Sara Hanson is a public artist, a cast metal sculpture instructor and a New City School parent. Sara has been bringing opportunities to explore and create into communities for all ages and abilities for over ten years.
